BrainTrain was 'imported' into Zimbabwe in 2011.  BrainTrain was born out of frustration from one of the founders, Brenda Bell.  Brenda started teaching IGCSE and 'A' Levels at St John's College in Harare and realised that her students did not know how to study.  She thought back to her school life at Peterhouse Girl's School and realised that she had never known how to study either.  After doing a lot of research the founders, Brenda and Claire, purchased this course from a South African teacher who was using it to help her primary school pupils.  Over the last 12 years, Brenda has changed and adapted the course to suit senior school pupils who want to LEARN HOW to LEARN.  Brenda has since moved to the UK (Scotland) and now teaches the BrainTrain course online.  From time to time Brenda still returns to Zimbabwe to run face-to-face sessions with small groups of pupils.
